Tony is a great guitar teacher, he is patient and explains things well. He has done a great job throughout covid teaching via zoom (which can have its challenges) but it is working well for my daughter and she enjoys her lessons. The showcases are great for building confidence in the students and Tony is very enthusiastic in everything he does. I would highly recommend Maestros & Masters Academy

A few years ago, I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and really struggled to get the strength and fine motor skills back in my hands.
It was suggested to me that guitar playing might just help – and it has!
I have no hesitation in recommending Tony as a guitar teacher for all ages and abilities. He has proven himself to be a patient and very approachable teacher, with the ability to put you at ease so that your lessons fly by and you come out of the lesson with a smile on your face.

Lana is a fantastic singing teacher. She is very supportive and encouraging. Although I was already a singer, I lacked vocal strength and confidence. She taught me lots of techniques which we built on overtime and my voice has changed so much since I first started. She is adaptable and goes at your pace but she also is able to push you when needed and helps you to gain that confidence. Her style of teaching is relaxed and friendly and she makes you feel at ease. I would highly recommend her as a singing teacher.

I’ve been working with Tony for about 6 months now. We’re covering both electric & acoustic guitar, for M&M academy and Rockschool grades. Lessons have been face to face, which is ideal, when possible, else using Zoom (a reasonable alternative) when not. Practice sessions can be logged and tracked, your course notes accessed and your audio files uploaded for tutor assessment, using the Tutorbird app.
For me, Tony is a really good teacher, friendly, knowledgeable, patient and encouraging, with a great sense of humour. His lessons are well structured and never boring. Unfortunately the hour lesson flies by. Can’t wait for the next session.

Tony is passionate guitarist and skilled martial artist who has successfully pulled these two arts together. With both activities, he’s patient, explains things clearly and provides plenty of encouragement with those tricky riffs or patterns. The flexibility in the guitar curriculum lets both my son and I learn different styles of songs on both electric and acoustic guitars. I have been taking weekly guitar lessons for just over a year. Tony has been an excellent and patient teacher. The learning programme is well structured, varied and challenging and has gradually taken my development steadily from beginner towards Intermediate level. The supporting resource materials have all been top quality and Tony has always been happy to send extra video demos of exercises when requested. I have never lost enthusiasm from day one which is testament to Tony’s ability and methods. I love the balance between understanding music, rhythms, guitar techniques etc and the opportunity to play new songs. As a result this 70 plus year old is looking forward to what lies ahead, all thanks to M&M Academy. Highly recommend them!

Having taken acoustic guitar lessons for well over a year, I can highly recommend the M&M Academy to anyone considering guitar lessons. As a novice guitar player when I joined, my tutor Tony has been a source of excellent support and guidance enabling me to make good progress. After each lesson a written progress report is swiftly offered and clear targets and direction given to achieve them. In addition extra help is willingly offered and advice is always available between lessons – all in all, a great service!

I absolutely love singing and have wanted to take lessons for years. In October last year I finally decided to book some lessons and chose M&M Academy. Lana is an excellent teacher who takes things at her students pace whilst providing lots of encouragement and support. Her module structure has clear and well defined goals on top of being flexible to meet the ability level of her students. I struggle with social anxiety and her friendly demeanour coupled with how encouraging she is has helped put me at ease and make lessons fun!
