Here’s a March update from us at M&M Academy.
TAEKWONDO ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thank you to those of you who attended the TKD English Championships with us this year! It was an excellent event and we’re very proud to congratulate our students Katrina, Pete and Leo for bringing home a silver and three bronze trophies. That’s a fantastic achievement, very well done!
TAEKWONDO UPCOMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our next two championships on the horizon are the Welsh Championships on Sunday 22nd May at the UWIC Cardiff Arena and then the North Midlands Area Championships on Sunday 10th July (arena TBA). If you’re interested in joining these (especially the Welsh), please let us know as soon as you’re able to. If we have enough interest in the Welsh championships then we may hire a minibus for the journey!
TAEKWONDO OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS
The next Colour Belt Grading is happening on the 4th June at 1pm in Belper (leisure centre). Please make sure you’re training hard with plenty of home practice if you’d like to grade!
RED BELTS (and Black Stripes), your next RB Training session is going to happen on the 3rd April from 2pm to 3pm at Allestree Derby. Please let me know ASAP if you want to participate in this. This is COMPULSORY for you to go for your next grading.
RED & BLACK BELTS – The next training session including all degrees from Red Belt + is happening on the 8th May from 10am onwards at Allestree Derby. Please check our Student Calendar for more details on this.
MUSIC STUDENT SHOWCASE
Our next Student Showcase is FAST approaching. This is set for Sunday 10th April from 2pm to 4pm and again from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the usual location; Little Eaton Village Hall. If you’d like to participate in this event, now is the time to be practicing your performance piece, and make sure we’re aware so we have you on our list! If you have any questions about this, please get in touch.
HOLIDAYS
Our Easter holiday is incoming. It begins directly after our student showcase. Here are the dates, including our Summer and Winter holidays this year:
Easter Holiday: 11th April to the 24th April.
Summer Holiday: 22nd August to the 4th September.
Winter Holiday: 19th December to the 2nd January 2023.
